Before flying any Club airplane, all pilots must comply with FAA and insurance requirements and pass an initial checkout by a Club approved instructor. In addition, a Club check ride is required of all members who have not flown the club aircraft within the previous 120 days. A Club check ride is also required if a pilot has not flown 12 tachometer hours within 12 calendar months of their last Club check ride, Biennial Flight Review (BFR), or newly earned rating.
Our newest airplane, N9397W, is a high performance airplane and has special insurance requirements. To act as pilot in command, and you have more than 100 hours total time, you must complete a total of 5 hours dual training with a Club approved CFI. The total hours of dual training required increases to 10 hours if you have less than 100 hours of flight time.
