This morning several members of the FAA Flying Club gathered at KHEF to give our Piper Cherokee Warrior a much needed wash and wax. Our club president, Smash, and members Sergio, Mike, and I took meticulous care of every inch of the Warrior from the leading edges to the undercarriage.
Everyone knows that one of the perils of summer time flying is that almost every part of the aircraft is bombarded with bugs from the windshield to the leading edge of the wings. Well, our crew took care of all of that and put on a fresh coat of wax to protect and enhance the finish of our beautiful plane.
N75382 is looking really good and ready for the long trip to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 with Mike and Tom in a couple of weeks!
In addition to washing and waxing our Warrior, Mike, Sergio, Ben, and I decided to have a little “air-to-air” photo shoot. We set off to KCJR with Mike and Ben in the Warrior and Sergio and I in a Diamond DA-20 as the chase plane. Take a look at some of the photos! I think they turned out pretty good!
We ended up having a great, albeit hot day with some of the FAA Flying Club members and our beloved Piper Cherokee Warrior! If you are interested in joining a fun, aviation-loving group of folks, please send us a message by checking out our Contact Us page!
