Congratulations to our very own, Mike Walpole, for successfully completing his Instrument checkride and becoming the FAA Flying Club’s newest instrument rated pilot!
I’ve flown with Mike and enjoyed learning from him. His love of aviation and his meticulous use of checklists inspires us all. He’s been working on his instrument rating for awhile and I’m sure he’s glad to have this new toolset under his belt and is eager to start logging some RNAV approaches!
Stay tuned for more news from Mike in the coming weeks. He will be flying our Piper Cherokee Warrior to 2019 EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh and I’m sure he’ll come back with lots of stories to share.
